Tune the field until a truth seizes it, and the knower takes the shape of the known.
"We define the collision of a subject with a truth technically when the truth is apprehended as self-involving such that the interpretant undergoes a non-optional update in salience, evaluative priors, and practical identity, subsequently followed by return (i.e. alteration in attention and conduct)."
A field of thousands of ivory grains dusting a great engraved bronze-dark plate, with an untouched region of ground above it and a gold tuning thread hanging down the left margin
Grab the gold tuning thread on the left margin and drag it vertically to tune the frequency — up and down both move the full range. Touch works the same. With the figure focused, the Up and Down arrow keys step the frequency finely; Page Up and Page Down jump to the next or previous eigenfrequency. Seven eigenfrequencies are engraved on the register as small gold ticks, unlabeled — found only by tuning.
Fig. XIVa — off resonance the grains only tremble; at each of seven eigenfrequencies the field is seized into the symmetric figure of that mode.
